About SaferSpace
Reporting and case management for HR and compliance teams
Empowering Safe Reporting
Our purpose is simple. Make it safer to speak up.
SaferSpace provides a secure way for people to submit reports of inappropriate behaviour, including sexual harassment, discrimination and misconduct.
The platform gives organisations a clear process for receiving reports and recording actions taken, so HR and compliance teams can manage cases consistently and keep proper records.
Why this matters
A healthy organisation is not defined by the absence of issues. It is defined by how issues are identified and addressed.
When individuals feel safe to report concerns:
- Issues are identified earlier
- Patterns are recognised sooner
- Leaders can respond more consistently
- Organisations can act before problems escalate
Silence increases risk. Clear reporting reduces it.
SaferSpace supports organisations to put formal reporting and case handling in place.
Our approach
SaferSpace is built around a simple principle. Reporting and case handling should be clear, consistent and workable for the teams responsible for managing cases.
The platform provides:
A secure channel for submitting reports
Options for anonymous or named reporting
A structured dashboard for managing cases
Clear oversight for HR and leadership teams
SaferSpace is intentionally focused on reporting / whistleblowing and case handling. It is not a general HR system or a culture platform.
Clarity
A straightforward process for people raising concerns and for teams managing cases.
Confidentiality
Secure systems, controlled access and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
Accessibility
Transparent pricing and a simple setup so organisations of different sizes can put formal reporting in place.
Governance focused
A structured approach to reporting and case handling that supports HR, compliance and leadership oversight.
Our founders
Meet our founders
SaferSpace was founded in 2024 by Ruth Sparkes and Sunita Gordon.
Later that year, EducationScape invested in the platform’s development, with its CEO, Shane Mann, joining the founding team.
The platform draws on the experience behind EducationScape, an organisation that has worked alongside schools, colleges and sector leaders for more than a decade.
Through investigative journalism, national events and close engagement with the education sector, Shane had seen the consequences of weak culture and the damage caused when concerns are not raised or addressed early.
SaferSpace has been shaped by that insight.
We understand the realities of safeguarding.
We recognise the pressures facing leadership teams.
And we believe that fairness, confidentiality and proper process must underpin every reporting system.

The Platform
SaferSpace is not just a reporting inbox. It is a governance tool designed to help organisations respond consistently, fairly and with care.
SaferSpace consists of two connected parts: a simple reporting interface for users and a secure management dashboard for organisations.
The reporting app and web portal are designed to remove barriers to speaking up. The process is clear, mobile friendly and straightforward. Users can submit concerns quickly, provide relevant detail and, where appropriate, choose how their identity is handled.
Behind the scenes, the SaferSpace dashboard gives authorised leaders a structured and secure environment to manage cases responsibly.
Through the dashboard, organisations can:
- Receive and review reports in one central location
- Assign cases to appropriate safeguarding or HR leads
- Communicate securely within each case
- Track actions and decisions
- Maintain a clear audit trail
- Identify patterns or recurring themes
- The system is intentionally focused. It avoids unnecessary complexity while providing the oversight and accountability that responsible leadership requires.
What is SaferSpace?
SaferSpace is a mobile and web application designed to simplify the reporting process for instances of harmful behaviours, discrimination, harassment, or other concerns in education and work (including public, third and voluntary sectors).
How does SaferSpace Work?
SaferSpace allows employees to report concerns, either openly or anonymously, streamlining the process of addressing inappropriate behaviour.
Users can easily document and report issues they encounter through the SaferSpace app. The app guides users through the reporting process, allowing them to provide text descriptions, upload relevant media files, and indicate the time, date, and location of the incident. SaferSpace then provides a comprehensive report to the relevant department.
Can users remain anonymous?
Yes! SaferSpace recognises the importance of maintaining user confidentiality. Users have the option to remain anonymous when submitting a report, or they can provide their contact information for follow-up communication. Regardless of their choice, every report is treated with utmost confidentiality.
How does SaferSpace ensure users' data is secure?
We have implemented robust safeguards to protect user anonymity and ensure the confidentiality of all reports. All data is stored securely, with access limited only to the authorised personnel involved in any investigation. SaferSpace is registered with the ICO, and is fully GDPR compliant.
What happens after a report is submitted?
Once a report is submitted, relevant departments are notified, enabling swift action to be taken. Users are provided with real-time updates on the progress of their report, ensuring transparency and helping to foster trust in the process.
Who can use SaferSpace?
SaferSpace is designed to be used by students, employees, and members of any institution or organisation that has licenced the app. It can be tailored to suit the unique needs of each institution, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes.
